MONROE, Wis. – Team Emmi Roth USA captured three awards at the Wisconsin State Fair Cheese & Butter Contest – two ribbons in the Smear Ripened category and one in the Open Class Hard Cheese category.

MADISON, Wis. — Emmi Roth USA took home a total of seven awards at the 2013 American Cheese Society Competition in Madison, Wis., including a prestigious first place award for their flagship Roth® Grand Cru® Reserve in the American Made/International Style Open, Made from Cow’s Milk category.

Grand Cru® Reserve is a classic washed rind Alpine-style cheese that is hand-crafted in traditional copper vats and carefully cured on wooden boards. Select wheels are chosen by Roth cellar masters for additional aging, 6 to 8 months, to create a robust flavor with earthy and nutty undertones.

Emmi Roth USA Wins Five Awards at U.S. Championship Cheese Contest, including two Best of Class honors

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Two cheeses from Emmi Roth USA were named Best of Class in their respective categories at the 2013 U.S. Championship Cheese Contest. In total, Emmi Roth USA received five awards at the competition.

Out of a record-breaking 1,702 entries from 30 states, Roth GranQueso® won Best of Class for Hard Hispanic Cheeses and Roth Five Peppercorn Raclette won Best of Class for Flavored Semi-Soft Cheeses. A Roth original cheese inspired by Spanish Manchego, GranQueso® is shelf cured for at least six months to create a distinctive bite and lingering sweet finish unlike any other. Roth Five Peppercorn Raclette is made in the traditional Swiss style and flavored with a blend of five peppercorn varieties.

Emmi Roth USA Takes Home Two Medals at World Cheese Awards

MONROE, Wis. – Emmi Roth USA earned awards for its Roth Grand Cru® Reserve and Roth Raclette at the 2012 World Cheese Awards, the largest and most respected cheese competition in the world. Raclette was awarded Silver and Grand Cru® Reserve was awarded Bronze in the “Any semi-hard cheese not in any other class” category.

Roth Grand Cru® Surchoix Wins Best of Show 3rd place at American Cheese Society Competition

Raleigh, North Carolina— Roth Grand Cru® Surchoix took home 3rd place overall in the 2012 American Cheese Society Competition in addition to seven awards in various categories. This win marks the third time that Emmi Roth USA has placed in the Top 3 at the American Cheese Society since 1999, and the second time Grand Cru® Surchoix has obtained this honor.

Top Awards for Emmi Roth USA at 2012 World Championship Cheese Contest

MONROE, Wis. – Two traditional Swiss cheeses, both available in the United States through Emmi Roth USA, were named two of the top three cheeses in the world this week at the 2012 World Championship Cheese Contest.

Out of a record-breaking 2,204 entries from 24 nations, Emmi Winzer, a smear-ripened semisoft cheese made by Adrian Mayer in Wattenwil, Switzerland, captured first runner up, while Emmi Appenzeller, a classic Swiss cheese crafted by Karl Germann in Andwil, Switzerland, was
named second runner up. Both cheeses grace the shelves of Emmi’s curing cellars in Switzerland. Winzer, a distinctive artisan cheese carefully cured with red wine lees, is exclusively available in the United States through Emmi Roth USA under the Emmi of Switzerland brand.
