Apple Berry Crisp

  • ¾ cup steel cut oats
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup Roth® Prairie Sunset® Cheese
  • 1 cup seasonal berries, chopped
  • 3 medium apples, cored, chopped
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Maple syrup (optional)


  1. Heat oven to 375° and grease an 8” x 8” baking pan.
  2. Combine oats, brown sugar, salt, and butter; mix thoroughly.
  3. Toss together Prairie Sunset cheese, berries, and apples; transfer to baking pan.
  4. Spread oat mixture on top of fruit.
  5. Bake for approximately 30 minutes until topping is golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven and allow crisp to sit and cool for approximately 15  to 20 minutes before serving.
  7. Top with ice cream or whipped cream and a drizzle of maple syrup (optional).
