Spicy Jalapeño Grilled Cheese

When you need a kick of heat, this Spicy Jalapeño Grilled Cheese with our creamy yet kicky Jalapeño Havarti delivers.

  • 4 slices grainy bread
  • 1 (6-oz) block Roth Jalapeño Havarti cheese, shredded
  • 1-2 tablespoons pimentos
  • 1/3 cup jarred jalapeño peppers (or as many as you want!)
  • 1/2 cup loosely packed fresh arugula
  • 2 tablespoons butter


  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. On two slices of bread, layer half the shredded cheese, followed by pimentos, jalapeño peppers, and a small mound of arugula.
  3. Place in the hot pan and top with remaining cheese. Place the two remaining slices of bread on top. Place a lid over the skillet, and grill for two minutes.
  4. Gently flip and grill another two to three minutes, or until the cheese has fully melted and bread is toasty and brown.
  5. Slice and serve!
